India and China have been implementing an annual youth exchange program since 2006-07.
For the year 2018, I was invited by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India to represent India in China as a part of the delegation. The delegation comprised of students, researchers, youth leaders and young achievers across India. We visited the universities, museums, industries, scientific facilities and tech parks in the cities of Beijing, Wuhan and Shanghai.
We also met with the locals, young professionals and youth representatives from China, exchanged views on technology, culture, economy, politics and discussed ways to improve Sino-Indian relations. A few of the places we visited: The Forbidden City and The Great Wall of China in Beijing, Weor Organic Farm in Wuhan, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility and Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai.
